Dear Friends,
While Asha Nayaswami was visiting us and speaking at the Texas Yoga Retreat last October, she also did a podcast with a student group from UT called the Polymath Club — students who design their own degree plans from various disciplines they are interested in. This podcast series is charmingly called “The Unfinished Mind” and here is the link to their 30-minute interview with Asha. I love the name ‘Unfinished Mind”! It aptly describes the spiritual journey: that there is always more, that our happiness and destiny lies inside of us and not out there somewhere in worldly achievements. As Yogananda puts it, “The only place where you can find God is within the human nervous system.” Until then, our minds (and hearts and souls) are not finished or satisfied. But never fear, an array of signposts, rest stations, and lessons await as we sojourn the vast territory of that joyful, mysterious inner space.
So, let us be traveling companions on Sunday mornings — if you are new to the practices, we will guide you. All levels of experience are most welcome. Details are:
