Dear Great Souls,
Yogananda spoke of God as Our Divine Mother, a mother we can never be parted from, who is, in fact, the vibration of the One Creative Intelligence manifesting the physical realm, including us.
As Jesus took the image of God from a wrathful judge to a loving father, so did Yogananda take the analogy further (because collective consciousness was ready to receive it) from father to mother — closer, unconditionally loving, and all-forgiving.
Of course, we know that this has nothing to do with gender per se, but these archetypes give us a way to conceptualize the non-physical reality from which we spring. In truth, we embody the mother and the father energies. We may be working on one of these aspects more than the other in this go-around on Earth (i.e., being a mother, being close to the mother, having mother healing issues, etc.), but perfect mother- and fatherhood is in us, emerging more and more with such practices as meditation.
Please come join us this and every Sunday as we connect to the Divine within!
